And the award goes to… Well first let’s look at what this person was using on a daily basis. Keep in mind, daily …for years.
Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Oxycodone, Morphine, Oxedrine Tartrate, Potassium Bromide, Prophenazone, Atropa belladonna, Atropine, Caffeine, Glyconorm, Mutaflor, Odium barbitone, Sulfonamide, and Testosterone.
A few of these I had never heard of so I looked them up:
Oxercine Tartrate – aka Synephrine, used to treat asthma. Nothing to crazy about that, but who knows how it interacted with say Cocaine.
Potassium Bromide – an anticonvulsant and a sedative. Now that sounds like serious stuff. It’s very popular within veterinary medicine to treat epilepsy in dogs. Hmmm.
Prophenazone – not much going on here either from my amateur research, just kind of like an ibuprofen.
Atropa belladonna – just a fancy name for Belladonna or Nightshade, you know, as in poisonous plant. Has a reputation of having painkilling properties, like most poisons do , especially if you take enough of it. Your feeling no pain, but dead. It also has a repuation for giving you hallucinations. So that’s a good thing to throw in the mix.
Atropine – fancy name for the pure distilled alkaloid in Belladonna, regular Nightshade just did not have the kick needed sometimes by this individual.
Glyconorm – a diabetic medicine ??
Mutaflor – realtively tame used to treat ulcers and constipation. Probably to counteract side effects of the other drugs.
Odium barbitone – better known as Barbital – a hypnotic and sleeping pill, from the wiki it states “The therapeutic dose was ten to fifteen grains (0.65-0.97 grams). 3.5 to 4.4 grams is the deadly dose but sleep has also been prolonged up to ten days with recovery”. Damn – I bet they were groggy after sleeping for ten days straight. I would say this is a strong drug.
Sulfonamide – again for ulcer, an antibiotic.
Now combine all those I didn’t know with Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Oxycodone, Morphine, Caffiene and Testosterone and you have one crazy concoction. Who would be crazy enough to do this on a daily basis, and what would be the effects of said regimen; to him, and in this case, in far far worse way, others in his circle of influence.
See who it was and what they did after the jump.
I am sure you guessed who it was right off the bat; but I really just wanted to get you interested enough to go over to Medium and read
(if you have trouble opening link try it using Chrome or Firefox)
It goes into depth about his drug abuse and of others in his inner circle. It does not mention the one thing that makes him the world’s worst drug addict, killing millions of millions of people; but hey, it is only part 1. Fascinating read and another great reason to Just Say No. Wait, am I saying doing lots of drugs could make you a maniacal mass murderer. Yes I am.
