The Return of The Toolbox

As promised some time ago, we are bringing back the Sober Toolbox feature. Sober Toolbox Additions are where we revisit posts from the past that were more focused on the nuts and bolts of recovery, or something you should not have missed just because your new here, and re-post them in our new Sober Toolbox tab. All these posts are from the spring of 2009. No actual toolboxes this time, but the two tools pictured are the oldest known tools ever found. These two hand axes found in Kenya are estimated to be around 1,300,000 years old. Dang.

All these posts are from spring of 2009.  Three are guest posts from long-time TDA friend Lisa Fredericksen who runs ‘Breaking The Cycles” (see our Blog Roll).

14 Years and No Absolution – TDA reflects on 14 years sobriety ( back in 2009, so now he is pushing 21 years sober … super congrats).

Help With Reducing the Cravings – expert advice on how to deal with cravings.

Wishful Thinking… – more advice from Lisa Fredericksen.

The Alcoholic Playbook: The Endorsement – a rose by any other name…

Helping the Alcoholic in Recovery – being understanding and flexible with others.
