A particularly nasty pot hea… promoter that wished to remain anonymous but gave his home page as NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) inadvertently made a very good case for those of us who do not support the legalization of marijuana, or any other illicit drug for that matter. This was his/her response to a recent post on legalization (of all drugs).
Your post does not make any sense- cognitive dissonance? perhaps you really do have a problem… a problem with mixing up the legalization of marijuana and the deaths caused by alcohol abuse. you sound like a cheerleader for people with their heads up their asses. is that a pom pom or yesterdays lunch? see comment here
The commenter confused an argument made against the legalization of all drugs to be that against just marijuana, if he/she wouldn’t have been so asinine I would have said it is an easy mistake to make. Apart from the advocates, most of the general public thinks of the legalization effort for marijuana and that of all illicit drugs as the same issue and vice versa. So regardless of any benefit or rationalization that can be made for the case of promoting pot, I believe that any steps to legalize just marijuana would be considered by the masses a tacit approval to do the same for all drugs.

I’ll cut the commentary now on the subject and instead offer an invitation to a more polite member of NORML (after reading comments on their blog this may be a tall order) to state their case on my forum and then we can debate it in a civilized fashion. I’ll hold a spot open this weekend when I have more time to respond and post the pro and con blog simultaneously.

Those that come on the site engaging in personal attacks and pushing straw man arguments instead of addressing the subject matter of my posts- they make it difficult for me to take them or their issue seriously.
This is the least offensive of at least ten comments left on this post alone- as much as I hated to publish this filth I think it is important to recognize the level of reasoning displayed by most of these legalization supporters.
