TDA News from the Land of the Rising Sun, Down Under, and Just Low Down

The makers of Kirin Free have picked an odd place to advertise their new alcohol-free beer in Japan… on barf bags! Hanging in the back of taxi cabs these bags may not only prevent an immediate mess, but also serve as a timely reminder that alternative beverages do exist- at least for non-alcoholics. This is not the only story thanks to TDA researchers Zentient and Norm, while I was uploading the thousands of comments from the old site and adding the contact TDA link they sent me the following stories:

Reminiscent of the recent TDA featured DUI Home Invasion, a family in Australia was miraculously unharmed after drunk driver crashed his car through the roof of their house in the middle of the night. Barf bags and spectacular but bloodless crashes are great fodder for TDA Stupid Drunk Tricks (TDA SDT), but this story about William Kirkland of Kentucky is a stiff shot of alcohol abuse reality. He didn’t get a DUI because his grandmother and wife refused to let him drive the car, but they probably wished they had relinquished the keys after he beat them with a pipe hospitalizing the grandmother with severe injuries.

I usually keep the TDA SDT posts for the weekend, so expect similar or light posting for the next week or so while the site is not fully functional.
