You can hear 14 year old Haley Hasselhoff in this video from 2007 pleading with her drunk father who is rooting into a meal on the floor like a hog. I know how stressful this situation can be for an adult to handle because I’ve been on the giving and receiving end… to subject a child to this is nothing short of abuse. This week the Hoff went one step further by almost drinking himself to death. He only survived because Haley discovered him comatose and rushed him to the hospital.
Actor David Hasselhoff was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital Saturday after his teenage daughter reportedly found him unconscious on the floor of his Encino California home as a result of alcohol poisoning… The former “Baywatch” star reportedly registered a staggering .39 blood alcohol level. If he’d been driving, that would have been nearly five times California’s DUI limit. ~ Fox News
The Hoff should go to jail not because he is a drunk, but because he is torturing a child.

Oh my gosh…talk about denial! I linked to the article and read the reaction reported for his rep, “saying the actor merely regretted drinking too much Saturday, but is otherwise doing fine.” Yikes!
And as you said, TDA, his poor daughter. It truly is child abuse what he is doing to her. I hope he doesn’t have custody.
will develop from this type of stress- being her father’s caretaker and responsible for keeping him from drinking himself to death. There was a time that I scoffed at the idea of family of origin issues, and still have my doubts on how they are often addressed, but one cannot deny that those kids that have the most intimate knowledge of abuse and addiction (ands should be well formed and motivated to avoid these things) grow up to do the very same things.
