The Walk of Shame, Honeybadger don’t care. Tyrann Mathieu aka The Honeybadger got busted yesterday with about 10 bags of “high grade” of pot (as oppossed to the non-high grade) and various paraphernalia including scales that would suggest he was weighing out some for his friends for free or profit depending on how a judge sees it.
Just this last month it looked like he was getting back on track after voluntarily entering rehab as a result of being booted off then No 1. Rank LSU’s college football team.
But, now it appears he was just talking the talk, not walking the walk. It’s a shame that he felt that his drug habit was still manageable after the LSU team incident. But we all have our own tolerance for bottoms. Hopefully this will be his, but he has no doubt squandered any chance he had of becoming a well paid football player.
ESPN analyst Edward Aschoff had this to say-
Remember when coach Les Miles said he expected there to be a happy ending for Mathieu in all of this? Well, this certainly isn’t what he meant. Mathieu appeared to be doing all the right things. He was getting help and getting back to school without focusing on football. While it looked like he wanted to return to LSU’s football team in the future, he knew it was going to be a tough road back.
He had to stay clean — and he had to show he was ready to put his team first. Thursday’s incident proved that Mathieu wasn’t ready for that, and it really is sad to see someone with all that ability waste it again and again.
Dear Tyrann, there have been 3 posts about your drug habit in 2 months on this small time recovery and addiction blog - you might have a problem. An unmanageable problem. Get some real help, and stick to abstinence from your DOC for more than a month.
