Amen! I'm relieved to see someone finally address the 400-lb. gorilla in the closet, namely that Steve McNair was an alcoholic whose life was spiraling downwards. Before people call me "judgemental," I need to add that I myself am a recovering alcoholic, sober for a while now. There but for the grace of my Higher Power go I.

Alcoholism is cunning, baffling, powerful. It kills people in lots of ways, including gun-related violence.
