Blow Energy Drink is packaged in powder form meant to be mixed with other beverages and is distastefully marketed as its name suggests.
But it’s the marketing which is revving people up. The kit comes with a mirror and a credit card to cut the stuff, all packaged in a Styrofoam container made to look like a brick of cocaine. ~ WTVM
It’s been in the news for several weeks, in fact Logan Gola, founder of iloveblow.com, has actually milked every bit of press coverage proving the adage that there’s no such thing as bad publicity. Happily taking shots from the talking heads of almost every major news outlet, Mr. Gola has taken advantage of the free airtime knowing that outrage sells… especially to the idiots who think this type of product is trendy and cool.
“We’re after the ultra-hip party crowd,” says Logan Gola, founder of iloveblow.com, which markets the product. “They get that it’s tongue-in-cheek. We are children of the ’80s who watched Miami Vice and Scarface.” ~ Globeandmail.com
Not wanting to add my share of free advertising, I had avoided reporting on this story until my old friend Amy Winehouse came to the rescue.

When I saw the above picture of the almost corpse-like Rehab singer shambling through the park like a brain jonesing zombie I knew I had found the perfect spokes model for my take on this horrible product. While Amy only resembles a corpse the two other celebrities I have picked for my own “blow” marketing campaign, Ike Turner and Chris Farley, are most assuredly worm food because they decided to party down with the real blow.
While completely legal and to be truthful not that much different from other alcohol/energy drink marketing, I find this kind of exploitation detestable even though the marketing effort put on by Mr. Gola seems to be wickedly effective.
My suggestion: Instead of buying Blow, if you really want to party like a rock star or attend a Hollywood drug party I suggest a night out the town with my 2 1/2 corpses… they are so hip!

WTF? I haven’t been paying attention to news lately so this is the first I’m hearing of the Iloveblow energy drink.
I like how Mr. Gola’s quote says that he’s part of the ultra hip party crowd and that because they watched Miami Vice when they were growing up they realize that it’s “tongue-in-cheek”.
What a moron. Sure, it has obviously caught on and has been getting a lot of publicity but is this guy trying to say that he’s not glorifying the use of cocaine?
So what about the kids that weren’t around for Miami Vice? Why do they think iloveblow is cool?
That’s quite a picture of Amy Winehouse huh? Shocking really. And is she jogging? Sit down, eat something.
