If he’d been on the other side of the velvet ropes he’d been arrested for open container and/or public intoxication, but rap star, alcohol abuser Kanye West swilling from a bottle cognac was given the star treatment instead prior to the MTV music awards. Even fame and fortune couldn’t save him from the scorn and ridicule of his peers though after he decided that voicing his selfish opinion during the awards ceremony was more important than the other entertainers and more importantly- the fans.
He was ejected for his boorish buffoonery; I just wish they would have had the common sense to do this before he ruined the show. MTV should bear just as much blame for allowing him on the premises swilling like a drunken pirate as West. It’s my opinion entertainers should use their celebrity to set a good example (yea, I’m old fashioned) so I was going to call KW out on the TDA carpet for a reprimand, but it seems that the President has beat me to the punch. Obama calls Kayne West a jackass.
